Rohan Patel and 14 others have agreed to be our "youth" group for this year. Rohan has got together with friends and has set up a 20 mile walk through the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. The theme as suggested is that the girls will wear bra's and the fellahs will be wearing jock straps to keep with the sporting tradition of O2e. I have been informed that these items of clothes will be worn outside their normal cloths....
We look forward to recieving photographs of the event..... the report :
On Sunday 6th July 14 boys from Loughborough Grammar School aged 15-17 walked 20 miles around Bradgate Park and its neighboring villages. Although the boys had taken part in a sports day the day before, they set out at 10 00. The weather was dull but the colours of the bras and jockstraps shone out and the local residents all took a stare with sunday drivers all tooting their horns. The walk started slowly and it wasn't until the 6th mile where the group decided to part into two. The group walked at a decent pace for the rest of the time until the last 2 miles where Rohan, Neal, Greg and George all ran back. Rohan got back first with George and Neal coming behind and finally Greg. Luckily for them but unluckily for the rest of the group, British weather kicked in and hail started to hit the floor. However all went well and the team finished in the range of 6 24 to 6 40
